Peripheral Nerve Program
Our team often diagnoses and treats a variety of peripheral nerve conditions (those outside of the brain and spinal cord) that can create numbness, pain, weakness and more in multiple parts of the body. We use a multidisciplinary approach – pulling specialists from many medical disciplines – to provide and coordinate a full range of services for evaluation and surgical care.
Diseases and conditions treated
- Carpal tunnel syndrome (numbness and pain in the hands and wrist)
- Ulnar neuropathy (numbness running from the elbow to little finger)
- Injuries, including accident-related trauma and deep cuts
- Often benign tumors such as schwannoma (on nerve tissue) or neurofibroma (within the nervous system)
